Level generator version 1

Got a first version of the level generator working. It creates playable levels, currently devoid of enemies. It still needs a lot of work, but hey, it’s there.

Added Gift Power. Polished AI even more. New GUI Graphics. Main Menu and Level selection done. Hiscore screen added.

Currently making platform sprites. If all goes to plan I will have a functional level editor by the end of the night.

Everything is Done. Now to map Making.

Added Weather. All the art, effects, engine. Done. For once and for all. Now I’ll devote myself to map making these days. My goal is to make 10 maps in a playthrough, using the game elements in a soft learning curve(something new each level).

If I don’t make it to 10 maps, I’ll make the finale just in case.

I learned who my recipient is today. I’ve seen him in the forums once in a while, but never talked to him. He’ll love my gift :)

Scroll

Last thing I added to my entry was code to show just a part of the level and scroll when the player moves. That part is working correctly but, unfortunately, I haven’t made any more additions to my entry lately.

I don’t know if I’ll be able to get something done. I’ll try to get at least something to submit even if I pull something really simple.

Also, the code for my entry is already a mess and, as usual, I’m overusing/abusing global/extern variables.

Being Sick Blows

Didn’t get much accomplished… will have to scrap most of the design… hopefully still will finish something playable.

Finished!

I decided to cut it down to 8 maps, I didn’t have enough concepts to teach for each new level. But that’s it, the finale is done, and it’s so freaking huge my recipient might have to live with little FPS during the whole battle.

I’m going to make the documentation, and polish any grammar mistakes. Also test a whole playthrough. I’ll submit my entry tomorrow.
